O-rings and sealing rings are used for reliable sealing of process sensors installed in pipes or vessels. With natural rubber O-rings, the units can even be sealed to very high pressures. When fitting the O-ring, pushing it into place creates the initial seal. The combination of initial seal and system pressure being applied results in the final sealing pressure.
